|10 Best Chess Games by Hikaru Nakamura|
|Written by Yury Markushin|

Hikaru Nakamura is an outstanding American talent who has been the U.S. Champion four times. He has won many elite chess tournaments including Tata Steel 2011, London Chess Classic 2013 and Zurich Chess Challenge 2015. Garry Kasparov described his win in Tata Steel as “the best result by an American since 1895.”
He has beaten almost all his contemporaries with the exception of Magnus Carlsen. He is a strong blitz and bullet player, achieving FIDE blitz rating on 2879, the first in the world at the time. Recently his image took a beating with a relatively poor performance at the Candidates’ and the U.S. championship. But as the adage goes, form is temporary, class is permanent.
This fine player deserves his place in the chess firmament. Today we shall take a look at seven of his brilliant victories over rivals like Anand, Kramnik, Aronian and Karjakin, not to mention Carlsen himself. Nakamura did beat him in blitz and rapid events, but not in classic time control. Today we will take a look at some of his best games.
