1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By accessing, downloading, installing, or using the ТheChessWorld.com Services, whether or not you become a registered user (“User”, “You”, “Yourself”, “Your”), You agree to be bound by these Terms, which You acknowledge that You have read and understood.
We reserve the right, at Our sole discretion, to change, modify or otherwise alter these Terms at any time. You must review these Terms at https://thechessworld.com/academy/terms/ on a regular basis to keep Yourself informed of any changes.

We close for all government observed holidays
These policies and procedures applies to all TheChessWorld Academy products sold on this site or any other site owned by TheChessWorld that includes a link to this page.

2. Returns and Cancellations
Subscriptions, Trials, and Digital Products
Free Trials: Your TheChessWorld Academy membership may start with a free trial. The free trial period of your membership lasts for one month, or as otherwise specified during sign-up and is intended to allow new and certain former members to try the service.
Free trial eligibility: Eligibility is determined by TheChessWorld Academy at its sole discretion and we may limit eligibility or duration to prevent free trial abuse. We reserve the right to revoke the free trial and put your account on hold in the event that we determine that you are not eligible. Members of households with an existing or recent TheChessWorld Academy membership are not eligible. We may use information such as device ID, method of payment or an account email address used with an existing TheChessWorld Academy membership to determine eligibility. For combinations with other offers, restrictions may apply.
Trial Billing: We will charge your Payment Method for your monthly membership fee at the end of the free trial period and your membership will automatically renew monthly unless you cancel your membership at least 7 days prior to the end of the free trial period.
Billing Cycle: The membership fee for the TheChessWorld Academy service any other charges you may incur in connection with your use of the service, such as taxes and possible transaction fees, will be charged on a monthly basis to your Payment Method on the calendar day corresponding to the commencement of the paying portion of your membership until your membership is canceled. Membership fees are fully earned upon payment. In some cases, your payment date may change, for example, if your Payment Method has not successfully settled or if your paid membership began on a day not contained in a given month. We may authorize your Payment Method in anticipation of membership or service-related charges through various methods, including authorizing it up to approximately one month of service as soon as you register. In some instances, your available balance or credit limit may be reduced to reflect the authorization during your free trial period.
Cancellation: You can cancel your TheChessWorld Academy membership at any time, and you will continue to have access to the TheChessWorld Academy service through the end of your monthly billing period. To cancel please submit your cancellation request to TheChessWorld Academy support at least 7 days prior to the end of your billing cycle. We do not provide refunds or credits for any partial-month membership periods.
3. Terms of Subscription Renewal
Trial members will automatically get upgraded to month-by-month membership at the end of the free trial period. We will continue to bill your Payment Method on a monthly basis for your membership fee until you cancel. To cancel your subscription submit a ticket at webmaster@thechessworld.com.
Monthly Subscriptions automatically renew each month at the stated retail price until the subscription buyer notifies the company that they wish to cancel. Please refer to the ‘Returns and Cancellations’ section of the Terms of Service page.
Yearly Subscribers will automatically renew each year at the stated retail price until the subscription buyer notifies the company that they wish to cancel. Please refer to the ‘Returns and Cancellations’ section of the Terms of Service page.
4. LIMITATION ON LIABILITY.
IN NO EVENT WILL TheChessWorld.com BE LIABLE FOR (I) ANY INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR INDIRECT DAMAGES (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, LOSS OF PROGRAMS OR INFORMATION, AND THE LIKE) ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, OR ANY INFORMATION, OR TRANSACTIONS PROVIDED ON THE SERVICE, OR DOWNLOADED FROM THE SERVICE, OR ANY DELAY OF SUCH INFORMATION OR SERVICE. EVEN IF TheChessWorld.com OR ITS AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVES HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES, OR (II) ANY CLAIM ATTRIBUTABLE TO ERRORS, OMISSIONS, OR OTHER INACCURACIES IN THE SERVICE AND/OR MATERIALS OR INFORMATION DOWNLOADED THROUGH THE SERVICE. BECAUSE SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF LIABILITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, THE ABOVE LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. IN SUCH STATES, TheChessWorld.com LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE GREATEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
TheChessWorld.com makes no representations whatsoever about any other web site which you may access through this one or which may link to this Site. When you access a non-TheChessWorld.com web site, please understand that it is independent from TheChessWorld.com, and that TheChessWorld.com has no control over the content on that web site. In addition, a link to a TheChessWorld.com web site does not mean that TheChessWorld.com endorses or accepts any responsibility for the content, or the use, of such web site.
Indemnification.
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless TheChessWorld.com, its officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, suppliers and any third party information providers to the Service from and against all losses, expenses, damages and costs, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, resulting from any violation of this Agreement (including negligent or wrongful conduct) by you or any other person accessing the Service.
Third-Party Rights.
The provisions of paragraphs 2 (Use of the Service), and 3 (Indemnification) are for the benefit of TheChessWorld.com and its officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, suppliers, and any third party information providers to the Service. Each of these individuals or entities shall have the right to assert and enforce those provisions directly against you on its own behalf.
Term; Termination.
This Agreement may be terminated by either party without notice at any time for any reason. The provisions of paragraphs 1 (Copyright, Licenses, and Idea Submissions), 2 (Use of the Service), 3 (Indemnification), 4 (Third Party Rights) and 6 (Miscellaneous) shall survive any termination of this Agreement.
Miscellaneous.
This Agreement shall all be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of The United States of America applicable to agreements made and to be performed in The United States of America. You agree that any legal action or proceeding between TheChessWorld.com and you for any purpose concerning this Agreement or the parties’ obligations hereunder shall be brought exclusively in a federal or state court of competent jurisdiction sitting in The United States of America. Any cause of action or claim you may have with respect to the Service must be commenced within one (1) year after the claim or cause of action arises or such claim or cause of action is barred. TheChessWorld.com’s failure to insist upon or enforce strict performance of any provision of this Agreement shall not be construed as a waiver of any provision or right. Neither the course of conduct between the parties nor trade practice shall act to modify any provision of this Agreement. TheChessWorld.com may assign its rights and duties under this Agreement to any party at any time without notice to you.
