Product Description

Looking for a reliable weapon against 1.e4, but don’t want to spend your entire life keeping up with the theory?

Chess should be fun, after all…

GM Marian Petrov is back to train you on playing the Hyper-Accelerated Dragon, an ultra-modern opening that avoids most of the dangerous play by White.

You won’t be facing the normal Dragon’s least favorite Yugoslav Attack, Rossolimo, or even the evergreen Maroczy Bind.

By playing 2…g6 Black sets up the stage for a sharp game, yet keeps everything under control.

And to make it even easier to master the Hyper-Accelerated Dragon, GM Petrov cuts all the unnecessary jitter and packs essential theory into just 3 chapters.

What you will learn:

  • Breaking down the 4.Qd4 mainline. GM Petrov arms you with numerous ways to neutralize White’s threats while developing pieces, maneuvering to the active squares, and preparing to take control of the center.
  • Playing against 3.c3 Setups. White will try to exploit the lack of black’s presence in the center, but GM Petrov shows multiple clever ways to fight for the initiative and come out on top.
  • The Art of Transposition. GM Petrov will demonstrate how to take advantage of the game of transposition, and when it is best to do so.
  • Tackling rare and off-beat lines. GM Petrov demonstrates how to fight the home preparation and rare lines, as well as shares a few powerful ideas to catch your opponent off guard.
