GM Adrien Demuth Reveals…
The Complete Grandmaster’s Repertoire for Black after 1.d4 d5 2.c4 c6
Looking for a solid and flexible opening for Black against 1.d4?
You can spend memorizing the mainline theory, or you can do exactly what GM Adrien Demuth did…
Adrien spent a fraction of the preparation time building a complete repertoire for Black based on Chebanenko Slav.
Although many club players would consider 4…a6 a ‘strange move’, Grandmasters know it’s totally solid and leads to two POWERFUL pawn breaks: …b5 and …e5.
In fact, the Chebanenko Slav is so solid, that some GMs gave up playing 1.d4 altogether because they couldn’t claim any advantage with White in this line!
