About the Authors:

GM Spyridon Kapnisis [FIDE 2529]

he was named champion of Greece under 12 years old in 1993 and champion of Greece under 16 years old in 1996 in a tie with GM Stelios Halkias.

He studied finance at the University of Piraeus, coaches strong chess players, and was the coach of the Greek National Team. GM Kapnisis also was 3rd in Glyfada in 1997 and 3rd in Kavala in 2003 and 2004. He has held the title of GM since 2011 and he also managed to break the barrier of 2520 ELO points that year.

Angelo Kesaris [FIDE 1928]

is a professional chess coach and FIDE National Instructor with 20 years of experience. He started teaching chess in primary schools, organizing lessons in chess clubs, private classes, and online teaching. Kesaris quickly made a name for himself by publishing practical strategies that new players can use to improve their chess.
